Christian Pulisic looks destined to stay at Chelsea this summer. The American had a tricky season battling with game time under Thomas Tuchel. Despite claims that he has been unhappy with his role at Chelsea, Todd Boehly's takeover of the club clarifies that Pulisic may remain a Blue.
It had been previously reported that Chelsea would need to let go of an attacker this summer, and Christian Pulisic was an option included with Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi. To be honest, out of the three, Pulisic would be the player that could make a better case to stay and fight for his spot.
Todd Boehly, co-owner of the LA Dodgers and Lakers, would be looking to build on American audiences, and Pulisic is the catalyst to doing so. But it's not just popularity that the American forward can bring to the table.

I see Christian Pulisic as a misunderstood character. He's a player that works extremely hard and is passionate about his craft. Of course, he wants to be starting more games in future. What footballer in his position wouldn't want to? Where he falls short is in his goal contribution tally.
Last season he only managed eight goals and five assists in all competitions. He had missed several chances that may have won Chelsea matches, such as the game against Liverpool in the FA Cup final. Fans seem to have run out of patience with the 23-year-old, and several would opt for a transfer this summer.
As you'd expect, new American owners would not be in a rush to get rid of their fellow countrymen. Especially when he is a star in the USA national team. With that being said, Chelsea fans will have to deal with it if they are to opt to keep Pulisic.
In 2020, Pulisic had an amazing run of games following the nationwide lockdown. The run led to Chelsea securing a top-four spot under Frank Lampard and helped the Blues to an FA Cup final. We know and have seen what he is capable of. I can imagine his skillset heightening with the signing of Ousmane Dembele looking likely.
Chelsea's attack would look rather frightening with Dembele on one side and an in-form Christian Pulisic on the other. Dembele being the more creative outlet and Pulisic being a direct attacker would make a delicious recipe for success.
Pulisic is not just shirt sales and American advertisements. He's a player that fans will admire for his hard work and consistent effort for the club. Next season will be crucial for him as he comes to his penultimate year in his contract. There's no rush to have him sold whatsoever.
The benefits still outweigh the cons.
