Today's Olympics schedule: Team GB events, Day 14 medal highlights and how to watch the Paris Games

We are reaching the concluding stages of what has been a thrilling Olympic Games in Paris so far.

There are just three days of action remaining in the French capital before the torch is officially handed over to Los Angeles for the 2028 edition of the biggest sporting show on earth, with the closing ceremony coming up at the weekend.

There remain plenty of medals still to be won, with Team GB looking to bolster their place in the overall table after an up-and-down few days on the athletics track and elsewhere, having gone past the 50 mark for these Games.

Breaking makes its Olympic debut on Friday, while there is plenty more thrilling action inside the Stade de France, Velodrome and over at the Parc des Princes, where hosts France battle Spain in the eagerly-awaited final of the men’s football competition.

Best of today’s action

All times BST

Women’s 4x100m relay (6.30pm)

Katerina Johnson-Thompson is firmly in gold medal contention in the heptathlon after taking an overnight lead following a stellar start to the seven-discipline event, but there are also big British hopes in the women’s sprint relay.

The quartet of Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita, Amy Hunt and Imani-Lara Lansiquot set a new world lead when winning their dress rehearsal at the London Diamond League last month.

B-Girls gold (8.23pm)

The much-hyped Olympic debut of breaking finally arrives on the scene, when there will be plenty of curious eyes on La Concorde.

In all, 17 athletes will start the qualifiers from 3pm and gradually be whittled down through one-on-one “battles” across the afternoon until the sport’s first ever Olympic champion is crowned.

On Friday, it’s again 8am BST until 1pm on BBC One and again from 1:45pm until 6pm, plus 7pm until 10pm. BBC Two briefly pick up the coverage between 1pm and 1.45pm, and 6pm and 7pm.

Live stream: Fans can also catch the BBC coverage live online for free via the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer. The Discovery+ app is showing extensive coverage, which begins at a monthly fee of £3.99.

Highlights: The BBC are showing a nightly highlights show called Tonight at the Games, which on Friday is being shown on BBC One at 10.40pm.
