Day 13 at the Olympics will see men’s 100metre champion Noah Lyles look to emulate Usain Bolt by winning 200m gold.
The USA star could only pick up the bronze medal in Tokyo, so will be hoping to go two better tonight. The Jamaica great was, unsurprisingly, the last man to win both showpiece events.
Elsewhere, Team GB star Katarina Johnson-Thompson gets her heptathlon underway in the morning and Emma Finucane is going for gold in the women’s keirin.
Here’s the best of the action for day two, with the full schedule across the games available here.
Best of today’s action
All times BST
Women's heptathlon starts - 9:05am
Team GB pair Katarina Johnson-Thompson and Jade O'Dowda kick off their hepthalon journey in the 100m hurdles heats. Both are in the first of three, looking to emulate Jessica Ennis-Hill from 2012.
The high jump is an hour later and the shot put (6.35pm) and 200m (7.55pm) follow in the evening.
Men and women's Taekwondo finals - from 10am
Bradley Sinden won silver in Tokyo and faces a busy day to match or better than in Paris, starting with a last-16 bout against Kevin Sogo.
Jade Jones won gold in 2012 and 2016 and is back for more medals, and she faces seeded Miljana Reljikj in her first contest.
Men's diving 3m springboard final - 2pm
Team GB's Jack Laugher and Jordan Houlden face a tall order to topple their Chinese rivals in the pool - or, rather, on their way into the pool. Laugher and Houlden qualified as the best of the rest behind Wang Zongyuan and Xie Siyi, so a podium place is up for grabs.
Women's cycling keirin - 6pm
New Team GB star Emma Finucane is back at the veledrome looking to continue her fine debut as an Olmypian in the women's keirin. Germany’s Emma Hinze looks to be among her strongest challengers.
Men's 200m final - 7.30pm
Will Noah Lyles emulate Usain Bolt with a 100m-200m double? He has dominated this event for years, but three years ago could only manage bronze.
USA team-mate Kenny Bednarek won silver in Tokyo and looks to be Lyles' biggest threat with the 2020 gold winner Andre De Grasse failing to qualify.

On Wednesday, it’s 8am BST until 1pm on BBC One and again from 1:45pm until 6pm, plus 7pm until 10pm. BBC Two briefly pick up the coverage between 1pm and 1.45pm, and 6pm and 7pm.

Highlights: The BBC are showing a nightly highlights show called Tonight at the Games, which on Wednesday night is being shown on BBC One at 10.40pm.
