Dr. William Turner is a professor, sociologist and award-winning author who grew up in Harlan County, the son of a coal-mining father. He’s the keynote speaker at Thursday night’s celebration of Black History Month at Eastern Kentucky University’s O’ Donnell Hall. In Today’s Interview, John McGary speaks with Turner about his address – and race in America in 2023.
Turner’s address begins at 7:30 Thursday evening. The event, in E-K-U’s O’ Donnell Hall, is free and open to the public.
