The NBA was finally able to convince an All-Star player to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest and immediately made a massive mistake.
Jaylen Brown, an All-Star in the Eastern Conference for the Boston Celtics, had planned a cool tribute to two-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion Dominique Wilkins.
It was his first dunk of the night and one of the most anticipated moments of the evening at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Yet somehow, TNT’s TV broadcast missed Brown’s dunk as it happened because they were too focused on filming the LED court.
If you're going to broadcast the dunk contest, showing the dunks feels like it should be a priority. pic.twitter.com/YX4UCO9BLZ

It would have been cool if they actually showed Jaylen Brown’s dunk when it happened.

A great analogy for the misuse of technology is TNT spending SO much time zooming out of the LED court to show what it can do that they somehow managed to completely miss airing Jaylen Brown's dunk live. Which is insane.

If TNT had a sense of humor, they would have cut away from Jaylen Brown's second dunk live too.
