Titans’ Week 13 snap counts: Treylon Burks plays sparingly in return

The Tennessee Titans welcomed back wide receiver Treylon Burks in Week 13 but lost three starters to injury during the contest.

Running back Derrick Henry (concussion) exited in the fourth quarter, and defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons (knee) and punter Ryan Stonehouse (knee) were lost in the third quarter.

On top of those three, rookie tight end Josh Whyle (knee) left the game in the fourth quarter.

Henry is reportedly in the concussion protocol as of Monday, and Whyle and Simmons have both reportedly avoided season-ending injuries. As for Stonehouse, it appears he suffered a serious injury.

So, how many snaps did Burks play in his return? And how did the Titans fill the voids left by their injured players?

Find out now as we analyze the Titans’ snap counts from Week 13.

-Burks played just 10 snaps in his first game back but wasn’t targeted. Head coach Mike Vrabel revealed the second-year wideout’s lack of snaps was simply the Titans easing him back in.

-Whyle played 22 snaps before exiting early. That is tied for the second-most he’s played this season. Chig Okonkwo played the most snaps among tight ends, followed by Trevon Wesco.

-With Henry leaving early, Tyjae Spears played a season-high 57 snaps. The rookie was the only other back on the active roster.

– At safety, Elijah Molden once again took a back seat to K’Von Wallace, who out-snapped him by an even wider margin than the week prior.

-After splitting snaps almost evenly the past two weeks, Jack Gibbens saw much more playing time than Monty Rice in Week 13.

-Kyle Peko saw a season-high total of snaps with Big Jeff exiting early. Jaleel Johnson and rookie TK McLendon also chipped in.
