Titans’ Week 11 snap counts: Snaps split evenly at LB, TE

There were some interesting takeaways from the Tennessee Titans’ snap counts following their Week 11 blowout loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Tennessee had a full-blown timeshare at linebacker between Monty Rice and Jack Gibbens. It was the second-straight week in which Rice eclipsed his season-high number of snaps.

Meanwhile, tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo saw a season-low number of snaps and did not lead the team in playing time at the position.

On top of seeing how the Titans divvied up snaps at linebacker and tight end, we’ll also be taking a look at how the team replaced some of their missing players at wide receiver, cornerback and offensive line.

-The Titans had just 40 plays on offense, 31 fewer than the Jaguars.

-With Chris Hubbard exiting early, rookie Jaelyn Duncan saw a career-high 25 snaps at right tackle. He may get the nod there in Week 12 if Hubbard can’t go.

-As expected, Dillon Radunz got the start at left tackle.

-Derrick Henry played just 25 snaps, seven more than Tyjae Spears. The ground game was stifled all afternoon and the Titans trailed the entire way.

-Chris Moore paced all Titans receivers with 30 snaps, followed by DeAndre Hopkins and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Despite playing well the last few weeks, Kyle Philips saw half the amount of snaps.

-Josh Whyle out-snapped Chig Okonkwo for the first time this season. Chig has struggled mightily, especially with drops, so it isn’t exactly shocking to see his playing time reduced in favor of more Whyle, who should get an extended look the rest of the way. Trevon Wesco matched Chig’s 16 snaps.

-Monty Rice saw yet another uptick in snaps after playing a season-high 19 the week prior. He split snaps evenly with Jack Gibbens, who is apparently losing his grip on the job alongside Azeez Al-Shaair. Rice hasn’t done anything with his increased snaps, though.

-Kyle Peko played a season-high 38 snaps, nine more than Teair Tart. That’s a surprise considering Peko has been bad this year.

-With Kristian Fulton struggling, the Titans gave Tre Avery an extended look with 26 snaps. Eric Garror contributed 27 with Roger McCreary moving to the outside to replace an injured Sean Murphy-Bunting.

-After being inactive in two of the last three games, Rashad Weaver saw a season-high 26 snaps. Weaver has done absolutely nothing this year to warrant that many plays and was somehow active over Trevis Gipson.

-Mike Brown saw 20 snaps in his first game back from injury.
