The Tennessee Titans made a roster move on Monday, releasing offensive lineman Corey Levin, according to the league’s transactions wire. He is now subject to waivers.
A former sixth-round pick of the Titans out of Chattanooga in the 2018 NFL draft, Levin played in 16 games (one start) during his rookie season.
After bouncing around on the active rosters and practice squads of the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears, and then spending time on the active roster of the New York Jets in the years that followed, Levin returned to Nashville in 2021, where he served as a backup.
He appeared in 12 games, playing 46 offensive and 51 special teams snaps. Levin was set to make $1.035 million in 2022 and carries no dead-cap hit, according to Spotrac.
Offensive line continues to be a concern for the Titans this offseason, as they have two starters to replace in David Quessenberry and Rodger Saffold. The team declined to tender Quessenberry, making him a free agent, and Saffold was a cap casualty and has since signed with the Buffalo Bills.
Up until now, Tennessee hasn’t made any moves to replace either, which puts Aaron Brewer and Dillon Radunz in line to take the starting left guard and right tackle jobs, respectively.
However, we fully expect moves to address both positions, whether they come in free agency, the 2022 NFL draft, or both.
