Titans’ updated draft position after victory over Patriots

The Tennessee Titans finally broke their losing streak by defeating the New England Patriots 20-17 in overtime. While many in the organization are relieved to be back in the win column, some fans were outwardly upset with the victory. Why? Draft position.

Heading into Week 9, the Titans were slated to select second in the 2025 NFL draft, a position many fans were salivating over. Now, after the win, their positioning has changed.

The Titans dropped seven slots in the current draft order, falling from second to ninth with their win over the Patriots.

With so much parody in the NFL, it is hard to imagine there not being multiple changes between now and the end of the season. Currently, nine teams have two wins and two more have three wins. With eight weeks left to play, anything can happen.

The Titans are better than their record indicates, and while many fans may not agree and are frustrated, the reality is that teams in the NFL play to win, no matter how much it may impact standings.

The Titans will be back in action on Sunday when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10 action.
