Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks was recently named one of the top rookies to target in fantasy football drafts for 2022, according to Luke Easterling of Draft Wire.
Here’s what Easterling had to say about Tennessee’s 2022 first-round pick:
After trading A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Titans used the first-round pick they acquired to select Burks, who has a similar skill set to the outgoing star receiver. Burks might take a little patience, but his combination of size, athleticism, physicality and leaping ability should make him a problem for opposing defenders. Even in a run-heavy offense, Burks should get plenty of chances to create big plays.
Of all the rookie receivers entering the NFL in 2022, Burks’ upside is among the highest, as he figures to at least secure a No. 2 role behind Robert Woods in what is a wide open situation at wide receiver.
However, Burks has some concerns early on, as he was unable to make it through practices at rookie minicamp, apparently because of asthma, and then he was absent for both of Tennessee’s open practices at mandatory minicamp.
It’s still far too early to panic about the Arkansas product, but Burks will have to right the ship in training camp if he’s going to secure a significant role early on.
