Titans’ snap count takeaways from Week 12 loss

With the Tennessee Titans’ Week 12 game and loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the books, it’s time to take a look at the snap counts.

The Titans saw two more players take their first snaps of the 2022 campaign with the team on Sunday in kicker Caleb Shudak and linebacker Andre Smith, who saw 19 snaps on special teams.

And with those two added to the pile, the Titans have now fielded a total of 75 players this season, second-most in the NFL behind the Arizona Cardinals, a team that has fielded 77.

Of course, the Titans hold the NFL record with 91, a mark they set just last season. Now, let’s take a look at snap counts on offense and defense for Tennessee, and the biggest takeaways from them.

-Tennessee’s starting offensive line played every snap, and Corey Levin saw two snaps as an extra blocker.

-Treylon Burks (38) had his second-highest snap total of the 2022 campaign in Week 12, but still fell behind Robert Woods (46) and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (43).

-Austin Hooper (38) out-snapped Geoff Swaim (31) for just the fourth time this season. However, Chig Okonkwo (19) still isn’t seeing enough snaps. Okonkwo saw 11 more last week.

-Amani Hooker, Roger McCreary, Kristian Fulton and Kevin Byard played every snap. Hooker had missed the previous three games.

-Bud Dupree played a season-high 57 snaps in his return from injury, while Elijah Molden saw 26 after a one-game absence. The returns of Molden and Hooker led to Andrew Adams seeing a big reduction in snaps from 60 (98%) the week before to 33 on Sunday (47%).

-Tre Avery (18) continues to get opportunities on defense, something we’ve seen in each of the last three games. Head coach Mike Vrabel praised Avery’s performance on Monday.

-With Zach Cunningham still sidelined, Dylan Cole saw the majority of snaps in his place with 55, while Monty Rice saw just six. David Long also missed some snaps after exiting briefly due to injury.
