After opening up a spot on their practice squad on Tuesday, the Tennessee Titans filled it on Wednesday.
The team announced it has signed veteran defensive lineman Jaleel Johnson to the practice squad, which comes on the heels of the team releasing fellow veteran lineman Michael Dwumfour from the group the day before.
Buy Titans TicketsThis is the fourth move involving a defensive lineman Tennessee has made since Tuesday, with the team promoting Kyle Peko and waiving Jayden Peevy.
We thought Peevy, who was an offseason darling, would be brought back on the practice squad after clearing waivers, but as of right now it doesn’t look like that will happen after Tennessee added Johnson.
Tennessee signed Johnson during the offseason but he failed to make the 53-man roster out of training camp.
A 2017 fourth-round pick, Johnson has appeared in 74 games (21 starts) over six seasons. He most recently saw snaps with the Atlanta Falcons to close out the 2022 campaign.
