The Tennessee Titans offense undoubtedly faced its fair share of adversity in 2022. By season’s end, the team was down to its third quarterback while also fielding practically an entirely new offensive line consisting of mostly backup-caliber players.
This led to one of the most underwhelming Titans offenses in recent memory. Tennessee not only failed to score 30 points in a single game, but the team somehow averaged less than six points per second half over an entire 17-game schedule.
That type of production — or lack thereof — is undoubtedly going to put any team in disadvantageous positions.
Unfortunately, Tennessee wasn’t equipped to climb out of a hole once the team found itself in one. According to Warren Sharp, the Titans scored on just 29.2 percent of the drives in which they were trailing last season, the third-worst rate in the NFL.

The Titans revamped their offensive line but are still a DeAndre Hopkins signing away from an adequate wide receivers room. Without him, Tennessee has only a puncher’s chance of getting the offense back on track in 2023.
