Titans rolling over just under $2 million into 2023 salary cap

Every year teams are able to roll over their unspent money into the following year’s salary cap figure, and now we know how much that figure is for the Tennessee Titans.

Per ESPN’s Field Yates, the Titans are rolling over $1.8 million into 2023, the 11th-lowest total in the NFL. If the reported $220 million salary cap figure for next season holds, the Titans’ adjusted number would be $221.8 million.

While not a lot, the cash-strapped Titans will take whatever wiggle room they can get. Tennessee is going into the offseason at $24 million over the cap, per Over the Cap, but as our Shaun Calderon wrote, the Titans will be making multiple cuts to get into a better position financially.

On top of having to make decisions about their own free agents, of which there are 34, Tennessee must also open its wallet for outside free agents thanks to the Titans having several holes to fill.
