Titans Request to Interview Packers’ Jon-Eric Sullivan for open GM spot

The Tennessee Titans’ search for a new general manager is in full swing with interviews with potential candidates already underway in the quest to replace Ran Carthon.

On Friday, president of football operations Chad Brinker and his team are scheduled to meet with Reggie McKenzie, Thomas Dimitroff and John Spytek. While those talks were taking place, another name popped up on the radar when word came out that the Titans had put in a request to speak with Green Bay Packers executive Jon-Eric Sullivan.

Sullivan is an intriguing name and already has experience working with Brinker, who spent nearly 15 years in Green Bay working under both Ted Thompson and Gutekunst and alongside Sullivan before taking the job in Tennessee. Sullivan is a football guy who started out his career in the scouting department before transitioning to the pro personnel side with the Packers.

The Titans are said to be looking for a dedicated personnel guy and Sullivan profiles to be just the type of person they would be looking for. Plus, already having a relationship with Brinker might give him a leg up.

We will continually update the general manager search as each candidate interviews. Check back for any and all information.
