Tennessee Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk announced on Tuesday that the team would be parting ways with general manager Ran Carthon after two seasons. Carthon inherited Mike Vrabel as his coach when he came on as GM, and even after Vrabel was fired the Titans fared worse in 2024 than they did in 2023.
It’s no surprise that the Titans would begin their search for Carthon’s replacement as soon as possible. To that extent, the team has already requested several interviews from executives around the league, including Cleveland Browns assistant general manager and vice president of football operations, Catherine Hickman.

After spending four seasons in the Canadian Football League, Hickman joined the NFL in 2019 as football operations coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. She held that position until 2021, when the Eagles promoted her to vice president of football operations. In 2022, Hickman joined the Browns as assistant general manager and vice president of football operations.
One of not very many women executives in the NFL, Hickman originally graduated from the Université de Sherbrooke with a degree in law. While working toward the bar exam, she worked for a law firm in Montreal before changing course to join the world of football.
The request for Hickman’s interview has not been approved or denied at this time. When that happens, this article will be updated with the most pertinent information.
