The Tennessee Titans lost a heartbreaking game to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 9, 20-16. This game was there for the taking and is the kind of game that could come back to haunt Tennessee later in the year.
Despite the tough loss, there was one positive consensus amongst fans and media members, both local and national: the Tennessee Titans have found their quarterback.
Everyone knew he was unlikely to match the four touchdown passes from a week ago.
But one could argue this was an even more impressive performance by the rookie, considering the adversity he faced throughout the game due to poor pass protection. Levis was under duress throughout the entire game, yet he found a way to punch back more often than not.
His team may not have gotten the win, but his individual performance impressed a lot of people tonight. Let’s take a look at some of those reactions.
Will Levis might be a dude. Hopefully we get to see him behind a solid OL at some point!

No clue if Levis will continue this level of performance, but at a minimum the dude has proven he plays a fun brand of football. Reminds me a little of Favre stylistically

The good news: I think the #Titans have a quarterback.
The bad news: I’m not sure what else they have.
3-5. I still don’t think they’re making the playoffs, but that doesn’t really matter now. The rest of 2023 is about getting Levis ready to take over in 2024.

Didn’t work out tonight, but the kid has it. Hate how it ended but Levis showed a lot and we should be giddy about the future.

Arguably what’s most impressive to me about Levis is even when the O-Line screws him over, he gets back up and punches right back. He’s seemingly unflappable.
That incredible arm is pretty cool as well lol#Titans

I love the confidence Will has at such a young age.
Rare.

Impressive how Levis recognizes the blitz

Look at the throws Levis make under pressure! 🔥
— Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) November 3, 2023
Levis has made more NFL throws in this game that Bryce Young has in his career
— George Chahrouri (@PFF_George) November 3, 2023
The AFC South is going to be a warzone for the next 10 years oh my god
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) November 3, 2023
Will Levis is the guy. We can all see it.
Pass protection was spotty at best, 2nd half playcalling did him no favors.
Extremely difficult situation at the end with no timeouts, too close to the end zone to find anything open deep but too far to throw underneath with so little…

Patience, Will Levis is the Truth. Just wait till we build a team around him! #Titans pic.twitter.com/aeD2ieeb8r

Not a damn thing negative to say about Will Levis, kid's got something. Good game tough result 🫡
— Allan Bell (@AllanGBell) November 3, 2023
#Titans fans have been begging for a QB that can take the ball with less a 1 minute and make the mind-blowing throws that turn into points.
Will Levis is that guy. Only got 3 there but the rookie is balling.
— Sam Phalen (@Sam_Phalen) November 3, 2023
My biggest takeaway so far is that Will Levis is legit and has turned 3 or 4 plays that would have been sacks with our other QBs into chunk plays. We may have gotten a gem, ladies and gentlemen.

Boys fought,
Kid can spin it.
Losing sucks but there are positives to take outta that game.
— Taylor Lewan (@TaylorLewan77) November 3, 2023
That loss hurts in the short term, but the long-term picture is so much brighter with No. 8 under center for the foreseeable future.
Idk if they’ll go on any kind of second-half run to the playoffs, but I do know this team may have finally found a future franchise QB#Titans
— Shaun Calderon (@ShaunMichaels98) November 3, 2023
That interception means nothing. Will Levis is QB1 in Tennessee.
— Easton Freeze (@eastonfreeze) November 3, 2023
Will Levis did all he could tonight, he took a beating all night and still had us in the game at the end.
The Tennessee Titans have found there QB of the future in my opinion. There is hope, Titan Nation! TitanUp! #titans
— Titans Rossi! (@TitansRossi) November 3, 2023
Agreed. #Titans fans should be excited about Will Levis. https://t.co/FGnfKRF0q7
— Christopher Carter (@CarterCritiques) November 3, 2023
Losing sucks no matter what.
But this one stings a little less cause I’m starting to believe that we just might have our guy in Will Levis. #Titans
— Taylor S Hurst (@TitansMan97) November 3, 2023
Titans have to start Will Levis permanently right…please don’t be a stupid organization and not play your future when he is playing well.
— 𝘡𝘢𝘺 💀 (@IsaihSenpai) November 3, 2023
Very, very satisfied with Will Levis' 2nd performance as the #Titans QB tonight.
— Justin M (@JustinM_NFL) November 3, 2023
I thought PIT DL was going to be a problem for Will Levis in this game. Kind of has been at times, but Levis is absolutely dealing when the ball gets out, even when he’s not clean. Arm is SO live
— Derrik Klassen (@QBKlass) November 3, 2023
Draft projection was incorrect, but talent was never the question with Levis. Decision making, sense of pressure and game-to-game consistency were.
Rookie has shown some positive flashes through two games. Plenty to build on. https://t.co/DIznUPtyaN
