Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis did not take part in practice on Tuesday but did provide a positive update on his injury, which was suffered during Thursday’s practice last week.
Levis didn’t go into specifics about his lower-body injury but did say it’s not serious. He also noted he’s “still preparing for Friday against New England” but didn’t give a definitive answer about if he’ll play or not.
“I had something happen at practice (last Thursday) that just came up and went to the medical staff and I’m just following their directions on the best way to attack it and get better,” Levis said, per AtoZ Sports. “It’s nothing too serious but I’m just going to make sure I take the right steps to get back.”
Despite not playing in preseason Week 2, Levis warmed up on the field prior to the game and dressed, which was the first sign his injury wasn’t serious. He was spotted with a wrap on his left thigh, though.
In his absence, fellow signal-caller Malik Willis took the reins for an entire game, but he had an up-and-down performance and failed to take advantage of an opportunity to put more space between himself and the rookie.
