For the second straight year, the Tennessee Titans have been riddled with injuries throughout their roster.
After setting the NFL record in 2021 with 91 players fielded, the Titans are once again approaching that mark in 2022, with 80 players fielded through 13 games, the most in the NFL.
But the Titans are also leading the league in the most games missed by players due to injury, and they’re starting to pull away.
Just a week ago, Tennessee had a one-game lead over the New Orleans Saints. However, after Week 14, the Titans have 27 more than the next closest team with 237, according to Man Games Lost.

Of the teams in the top five, the Titans and New York Giants are the only ones who are in a playoff spot currently. The Titans are the only division leader to be over 200.
While Titans head coach Mike Vrabel continues to get praise for keeping his team winning these last few years despite all this, fans have been pointing the finger at the strength and conditioning and training staffs.
Whatever the case may be, the Titans have to figure out what is at the heart of this problem and fix it. This team can’t hope to compete for much in the years to come with injury issues like this.
