The Tennessee Titans don’t have a ton of money to work with this offseason thanks to some of the moves they’ve made over the last few years, but that is not projected to be the case when 2024 rolls around.
According to Over the Cap, which bases its projection on the NFL’s salary cap rising to $256 million in 2024, the Titans will have approximately $131 million in cap space next offseason.
Of course, that number could go either way depending on what the Titans do this offseason and who they part ways with next offseason, but that’s where the team is projected to be at as of this moment.
Knowing that, it’s very possible the Titans and new general manager Ran Carthon will use 2023 as a transition year to set themselves up for a major spending spree and return to relevance in 2024 instead.
I’ve been of the opinion the Titans will simply retool this offseason, but with so many needs, limited money, a new general manager in town and a rosier outlook cap-wise in 2024, nothing can be ruled out.
