Titans’ playoff probability coming out of the bye week

The Tennessee Titans enjoyed a much-needed break over the last week and will now prepare for the rest of the 2023 season, which begins on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in Nashville.

After six games, the Titans find themselves with a 2-4 record, in last place in their division and near the bottom of the conference.

Needless to say, playoffs are a long shot at the moment, but thanks to Sumer Sports Analytics (SSA), we have an idea of just how much the odds aren’t in Tennessee’s favor.

According to SSA, the Titans’ playoff probability at the conclusion of Week 7 is just 13 percent. Only six teams in the NFL have a worse probability.

This percentage was calculated based on a total of 10,000 simulations performed in order to help predict the rest of the season.

Thankfully for the Titans, the rest of the season will be played on the football field instead of a computer, but it’s hard to argue with these results after what we’ve seen over the first six games.
