Titans offer condolences, support for Caleb Farley after death of father

In what is tragic news, Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley’s father, Robert, was killed in an overnight explosion at Farley’s home in North Carolina.

The official cause of the explosion has yet to be revealed by authorities. Another person was injured, although the identity of the victim was not released.

After practice on Tuesday, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel offered condolences and support for the cornerback.

“What’s most important is that we do everything that we can to support him, emotionally, teammates, coaches, organization,” Vrabel said, per Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com.

“Just shocking. But also, (we have) to focus on Caleb (Farley) and his family and what we can do to support them and be here for them,” Vrabel added

“I’m just praying for Caleb,” running back Derrick Henry said. “We were probably the last ones in the locker room last night, just hanging around. I just found out the news, and we’ll keep him in our prayers and we all send our condolences to him and his family. It’s a tragic situation. I don’t want to speak too much on it, because I don’t know the details. I just couldn’t describe the way he’s probably feeling right now.”

“I’ll reach out to him. I couldn’t imagine that happening,” outside linebacker Harold Landry said. “I feel for him obviously and he’ll be in my prayers.”

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Farley and his family.
