The Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver group is arguably the biggest weakness on the team at the moment. Despite having such a massive need at the position, Tennessee hasn’t signed a single free agent to join its team.
To be fair, this free agency class wasn’t exactly filled with true game-changers, but the Titans did have several options who undoubtedly would have provided a major upgrade for the offense.
This almost guarantees that the Titans will be taking a wide receiver within the first two rounds. One of my personal favorite options for the team is North Carolina wide receiver, Josh Downs.
I know I’ve said this before, but I’m a massive Josh Downs fan.
His game is so damn smooth, sudden, & cerebralMy dream scenario is the #Titans walking away with either Paris Johnson Jr. or Peter Skoronski in Round 1 and Josh Downs in Round 2.#CarolinaFootball 🐏 pic.twitter.com/RJF6myn5yY

Therefore, you could imagine my excitement when Downs confirmed that he met with the Titans prior to his Pro Day on Monday, according to Travon Miles of ABC11.
The North Carolina product is a shifty and sudden wide receiver who is capable of manipulating the defense with his savvy route-running.

The 5-foot-9, 171-pound receiver also has a reputation for playing much bigger than his size, catching 13 of his 18 contested targets in 2022 (72.2 percent).
His overall ceiling may be limited due to him strictly being a slot receiver, but his overall game and skill set would be welcomed and adored by Titans fans upon his arrival.
Downs would be a perfect complement to Treylon Burks and would instantly give the Titans two talented wide receivers atop the depth chart.
