There are three very popular names among Tennessee Titans fans right now when it comes to who the team should select in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Those three names are wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and left tackles Joe Alt and Olu Fashanu, three players who would fill one of the two biggest needs the team has going into the 2024 offseason.
The overwhelming belief is that the Titans will need a top-five pick to secure any of the three, but Sports Illustrated’s Luke Easterling actually has Tennessee landing Alt at No. 7 overall in his latest mock draft.
A big reason for Alt slipping to the Titans in that spot is because of an early run on quarterbacks, with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels all going in the top-four picks in Easterling’s mock.
Also helping out is Brock Bowers being taken at No. 6. Meanwhile, Fashanu was off the board after going No. 5.
This is actually a plausible scenario and would be fantastic for Tennessee.
However, it is far from guaranteed. If the Titans want to put themselves in the best position possible to get either Fashanu or Alt, they have to get into the top five. I think it’ll take a top-three pick to get Harrison Jr.
Thankfully, Tennessee is still alive for those spots. The Titans are currently No. 7 but can get as high as No. 2 if everything goes perfectly over the last two weeks.
