Tennessee Titans safety Kevin Byard does just about everything right on the football field, but he is also as professional as they come off of it.
Byard always makes himself available to the media after games and is never afraid to speak his mind and analyze his own team’s performance, no matter how good or bad it may have been.
In fact, Byard, who is never standoffish with the media like a certain head coach we all know and love, was given the “Good Guy Award” in 2022 via the Nashville chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America.
Byard still has plenty of gas left in the tank at 29, but it appears he’s already looking ahead to his options down the road, with the veteran safety taking part in “NFL Broadcast Boot Camp” last week.
Had a great time at the NFL Broadcast Boot Camp last week! It takes a lot of preparation, teamwork and skill to make TV happen. Big thanks to @AndrewSiciliano for the pointers. pic.twitter.com/JGEcTMxyVv

Here’s more information on the event Byard attended, per the league:
Instructors from top broadcast and radio networks provide current players and Legends who aspire to become broadcasters with on-set training and lessons on editing, show preparation, field reporting, production, control room operations, and more.
Not every player is suited for the broadcast booth or studio, but Byard is one who I think could make the transition and be really good at it thanks to his wealth of football knowledge and ability to communicate.
Someone will be picking up the phone to call Byard about a broadcast job after his playing career is over, whenever that may be.
