Titans injury updates: Treylon Burks, Daniel Brunskill, SMB, more

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel met with the media on Wednesday before practice and gave injury updates on a handful of players ahead of the Week 11 contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Among the players Vrabel mentioned were wide receiver Treylon Burks, right guard Daniel Brunskill, cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting and left tackle Andre Dillard. In addition, SMB and Brunskill added to the information given by their head coach.

Brunskill (ankle), Burks (concussion) and SMB (thumb) sat out last week’s game while Dillard (concussion) exited early. Here’s a look at the updates Vrabel provided for each.

Burks remains in the concussion protocol and won’t practice on Wednesday, nor is he trending toward returning to the field, Vrabel said.

Murphy-Bunting revealed he had surgery on his injured thumb and his ability to play will be based on how much he can tolerate the pain and actually it.

Vrabel said SMB will be limited all week and the team will make a decision down the line, but it sure sounds like he’s very iffy to play this week.

Brunskill is expected to start the week off as limited at practice, Vrabel said. That would be an upgrade from last week, when the veteran offensive lineman didn’t practice at all.

Brunskill told reporters he’s “feeling great and hoping to get back as soon as possible.”

LT Andre Dillard

Dillard is in the concussion protocol and will not practice on Wednesday. Dillon Radunz and Jaelyn Duncan are going to get practice reps at left tackle during the week.
