Titans hosting Anthony Richardson for top-30 visit on Monday

Florida quarterback and 2023 NFL draft prospect Anthony Richardson is visiting the Tennessee Titans on Monday.

The news comes from NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, who notes that it is a top-30 visit. CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson is also reporting the two sides may do a virtual follow-up meeting.

The Titans own the No. 11 overall pick and figure to be within range to land Richardson, whether that be by sticking and picking at their current spot or via a trade up.

However, as I’ve said all along I just don’t see the Titans trading away what it would take to move up to No. 3 overall to get him. Now, if Richardson were to fall to No. 11, that’s a different story and more feasible.

The only quarterbacks I could see Tennessee trading up for are C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young, but I expect them to go with the first two picks.

Richardson is Shaun Calderon’s No. 3 quarterback in this class, but as he’s pointed out in the past, the Florida product is going to need some development.

Probably won’t win Rookie of the Year but he very well could find himself in the MVP conversation one day if he lands in the right situation with a team that is patient with his development.

You can check out Calderon’s full scouting report on Richardson right here.

The Titans are actually an ideal landing spot for Richardson, as the presence of Ryan Tannehill would allow the 20-year-old to develop without needing to see the field in 2023.
