After missing the last three games due to an emergency appendectomy prior to the Week 2 contest, the Tennessee Titans are hoping left guard Peter Skoronski will be able to return to practice this week.
Head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t give a definitive answer about Skoronski’s status, but usually when he expresses hope that a player will return to practice, it happens.

For Skoronski, it wasn’t just about recovering from the procedure. He also had to gain some weight back after losing his appetite and dropping some pounds.
“I’ve lost a little bit (of weight), lost my appetite a little bit last week,” he said upon returning to the team last Wednesday. “Definitely that’s part of the process of trying to gain it back.”
While Skoronski was in the building last week, he was a non-participant in practice. If he hits the field this week, it’ll be his first session of any capacity since the Thursday before the Week 2 game.
The Titans’ offensive line has had two acceptable games and one very bad one during Skoronski’s absence. Dillon Radunz hasn’t been perfect by any means as the replacement, but he’s definitely held his own about as well as anyone could’ve hoped for, especially from someone coming back from a torn ACL.
Skoronski allowed one pressure but no sacks and was good overall in his debut in Week 1. He should provide a slight boost, at least, for the group upfront upon his return to the field.
The Titans will be back on the practice field on Wednesday and will issue their first injury report of the week. We’ll know more about Skoronski’s chances of playing then.
