The Tennessee Titans have yet another top-30 visit scheduled with a tight end ahead of the 2022 NFL draft.
According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the Titans are using one of their top-30 visits on Colorado State tight end, Trey McBride, who is ranked as the No. 1 tight end by the outlet’s Kyle Crabbs.
Just a few days ago, it was reported that Tennessee was also set for a top-30 visit with Texas A&M tight end, Jalen Wydermyer, as well as with Arkansas wide receiver, Treylon Burks.
Despite signing veteran tight end Austin Hooper in free agency, the team should still look to draft a tight end at some point, especially considering Hooper’s deal is only for one year.
How early Tennessee is willing to address the position remains to be seen, but if they want McBride they’d likely have to spent a first-round pick on him. Tennessee doesn’t own a pick in the second round and there’s no way McBride falls to the third.
Quite frankly, I’d be shocked if Tennessee uses its top pick on a tight end with the team having bigger needs at wide receiver and offensive line (guard and tackle). Spending a Day 2 pick on a tight end is much more likely.
