The Tennessee Titans need to start planning for the future at quarterback after soon-to-be 34-year-old Ryan Tannehill’s implosion during the divisional-round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
And general manager Jon Robinson and Co. appear to at least have their eye on the 2022 NFL draft as a means to do just that, as the team has been busy scouting all of the top quarterback prospects in this year’s draft.
That list includes Liberty quarterback Malik Willis. Not only did the Titans get a closer look at Willis at the NFL Combine and at his pro day, the team has also met with him in a pre-draft visit, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Liberty QB Malik Willis is scheduled to visit next week with, amongst others, the Atlanta Falcons (No. 8) and Carolina Panthers (No. 6), per source.
Willis already has met with the Steelers, Saints, Giants, Titans and others.

Willis, who stole the show at the NFL Combine, might have the most upside of any signal-caller in the draft thanks to his combination of elite arm strength and athleticism.
I personally would love to see him in the two-tone blue; however, Willis, who already entered the pre-draft process with plenty of hype, has seen his stock rise even more since the combine and his pro day, making it likely he’ll be off the board well before the Titans pick at No. 26 overall.

This dude's got an ARM.

The Titans landing Willis is a pipe dream at this point, but it is good to see the team doing extensive homework on all the quarterbacks in this class just in case. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Tennessee take one later this month.
