Titans had dinner meeting with Texas DL Keondre Coburn

The Tennessee Titans are busy scouting defensive lineman ahead of the 2023 NFL draft, with the latest example being Texans defensive lineman, Keondre Coburn.

According to Justin Melo of The Draft Network, the Titans had dinner with the defensive lineman, as did the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, who also had him in for a private workout.

Included in the teams scouting Coburn are also the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who had a virtual meeting with the 6-foot-2, 332-pound lineman. For more on Coburn, we go to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com:

A stout but athletic nose tackle with nimble feet, Coburn can sit down and muddy run lanes or create difficulties for pin-and-pull blocking schemes with his interior agility. While he’s not a three-down lineman, he does have the bull rush and activity level to cause issues as a rusher. He’s more than capable of pressing and separating from blocks as a two-gapping plugger but requires more consistent technique to improve his consistency in that area. Coburn’s blend of girth, power and agility could be coveted by teams looking for help along the interior.

Coburn is the third defensive line prospect we’ve seen the Titans have interest in recently, along with Bethel University’s Darel Middleton (story here) and Georgia Tech’s Keion White (story here).

Tennessee doesn’t have an immediate need for a nose tackle assuming they retain Teair Tart, who is a restricted free agent. But perhaps the Titans are looking ahead, as Tart will be a free agent again in 2024.

Coburn figures to be a Day 3 prospect at best and could be an option for the Titans if they target defensive players late in the draft like I think they will after first addressing the offense with multiple selections.
