Trade rumors and speculation have been swirling around Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry all offseason long, but general manager Ran Carthon basically shot down those rumors on Monday.
During his pre-draft press conference, Carthon said the team has not received calls on the superstar running back and hinted any rumors surrounding Henry being traded aren’t legit.
We’ve heard different reports pertaining to Henry’s status with the team, with one saying the Titans were shopping him at the NFL combine, while another stated the team isn’t shopping him at all.
There was also another report stating the Titans weren’t shopping Henry but rather listening on trade offers. In late March, Carthon denied the team was shopping Henry.
More recently, there was a rumor that the Titans were trading Henry to the Philadelphia Eagles, but multiple reports have since refuted that, with one from Paul Kuharsky saying the two sides haven’t even discussed a deal.
Titans GM Ran Carthon said he has not received trade calls on RB Derrick Henry & indicated reports about trading Henry are people just hoping things will stick.

Whatever the case may be, Carthon’s words should put Titans fans who are against trading Henry at ease.
