Titans’ DeAndre Hopkins on Will Levis: ‘That kid is going to be great’

Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis took a massive step forward in Week 14 after leading his team to an improbable comeback victory over the Miami Dolphins.

This is the kind of win that can do wonders for a young quarterback like Levis, and it also galvanizes both his teammates and the fan base.

The opinions of his teammates are always important, but that’s especially true when it comes to a future Hall of Famer like Levis’ No. 1 wide receiver, DeAndre Hopkins.

After the win, Hopkins made it clear he thinks great things are ahead for Levis.

“I saw a dawg out here today,” Hopkins said, per NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe. “That kid is going to be great. I’m always in his ear, trying to help him. I know he’s still got a lot in his tank… I’ll still be on him when we get back. But Will showed heart. I love competing and playing with him.”

Hopkins, who is still very much at the top of his game, was great in his own right, reeling in seven catches for 124 yards and a touchdown, and he’s been instrumental in Levis’ development overall.

There has been some speculation that perhaps Hopkins wouldn’t want to return to Nashville in 2024 after what has transpired this season.

But it sure sounds like he wouldn’t mind coming back for the final year of his deal to keep playing with Levis — and the Titans should absolutely keep him if that’s the case
