UPDATE: The Titans are reportedly closing in on a one-year deal with Sean Murphy-Bunting (READ MORE HERE).
The Tennessee Titans have been quiet in free agency since Tuesday with the exception of bringing back their own guys, but the team could be on the verge of making its next signing.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Titans and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting are set for a free-agent visit on Monday. Rapoport also notes that the two sides could agree to a deal if all goes well with the meeting.
Tennessee figures to have most of their starting spots in the secondary set for 2023, but the problem is most of those options have injury concerns and/or lack experience.
Murphy-Bunting isn’t exactly a seasoned vet, but he does bring four years of NFL experience with him, as well as a Super Bowl ring he won with the Bucs in Super Bowl LV.
#Bucs FA CB Sean Murphy-Bunting is scheduled to visit the #Titans tomorrow, source said, and if all goes well he could land in Tennessee. With 13 starts in the past two seasons, the versatile Murphy-Bunting may end up with a bigger role.

The 25-year-old former second-round pick started in 36 of the 53 contests he played in while with Tampa Bay, including five starts in 12 games last season.
Murphy-Bunting has posted some impressive coverage numbers the last two seasons, notching a 59.3 percent completion rate against in 2021, and a 51.2 percent completion rate against and a 59.6 passer rating allowed in 2022.
On top of that, Murphy-Bunting had an impressive 80.9 coverage grade last season, per Pro Football Focus, and he brings some versatility with him thanks to his experience playing on the outside and in the slot.
The big concern with Murphy-Bunting is his injury history, as he’s missed 13 games the past two years.
