Titans’ Aaron Brewer signs restricted free agent tender

Tennessee Titans 2020 undrafted free agent and interior offensive lineman Aaron Brewer will be back for another season.

According to the league’s transactions wire, Brewer has signed his second-round restricted free agent tender, which will keep him in Tennessee for one year and $4.3 million.

Brewer had until April 21 to receive and sign offer sheets from other teams, but apparently that process wasn’t proving fruitful, which isn’t surprising considering it would have cost the team acquiring him a second-round selection.

The Texas State product started at left guard in 2022 but struggled as part of one of the worst offensive lines in the sport.

However, the fact that the Titans placed such a tender on Brewer shows they may still have big plans for him in 2023, and namely at center with the team cutting Ben Jones last month.

While Brewer was not good on the left side in his first full season as a starter, the 25-year-old’s natural position is center, so the hope is he could be better there.
