The Tennessee Titans’ 2022 offense will forever be known as the year it all fell apart. Just a few seasons ago, the Titans had one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL that was capable of dropping 30 or more on a weekly basis.
Fast forward to last year and the Titans didn’t produce a single 30-point performance all season long. There’s a handful of reasons for the drastic regression, but it appears it wasn’t all bad for Tennessee.
According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, the Titans led the league by a relatively wide margin when it came to scoring touchdowns in goal-to-go situations.
Tennessee scored a touchdown on 94 percent of those situations, nine percent higher than the next closest teams, the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys, who each scored on a respective 85 percent of their goal-to-go scenarios.

Unfortunately, when it comes to the Titans, it was usually the other 90 yards that were a problem for last year’s offense, as Tennessee often struggled to find itself in those field positions.
Let’s hope things get better in 2023 with Tim Kelly in charge of the offense, and hopefully a healthy core for the duration of the season.
