A question has appeared to confirm Tipping Point is airing episodes filmed some time ago, amid fan speculation over the show's format.
Ben Shephard was back on the ITV show with a new set of contestants in the hopes of winning a big cash prize. One of today's questions gave viewers an answer on something they have been discussing for some time.
As a part of their 10-year-anniversary celebrations, the show dropped from four contestants to three in a bid to give a new lease of life to the format. Since then the show has reverted to its roots with four contestants, leaving viewers begging for answers as to what to expect going forward.

Despite the pleas online there was no clear indication on which way the show was moving but many assumed they were simply being shown old episodes. As debates flared some concluded old episodes which never made it to screen were being aired, and which were technically 'new', but a question today finally appeared to set the debate to rest.
Ben asked one of the contestants when the next leap year is which they answered "2020." Ben said this was correct, which signalled to many that Tipping Point is currently relying on episodes that are at least two years old.
