Tipping Point on ITV tests the knowledge and skill of four contestants. However, one particular participant on today’s episode drew the criticism of watching fans.
Despite his best efforts, and a decent level of general knowledge, Pete struggled to accumulate a sufficient amount of money. His counters would often fill in gaps or become ‘riders’, when they slide on top of pre-existing counters rather than pushing them from behind.
In total, he put nine counters into the machine but only generated £350, resulting in his elimination after round two. Viewers took to Twitter to suggest it wasn’t simply luck, offering their input on the poor technique.

@UptToad said: “Riders! Definition of insanity, doing exactly the same thing time after time, and expecting a different result! #tippingpoint.” @mikeybhoy01 added: “Why do none of these people know how to play this game? #tippingpoint.”
@mikeybhoy01 argued: “His timing is the worst I've ever seen. Even the wee old lady at the arcades has better timing on the 2p machines #tippingpoint.”
@allandixon4 also commented: “Serves you right Pete, your timing way off! #TippingPoint” before adding: “Timing again! #TippingPoint.”
Tipping Point airs on ITV on weekdays at 4pm.
