The game was subsequently abandoned after Quirke was stretchered off the field and rushed to hospital.
And the Tipperary County Board have confirmed that all games this weekend have been cancelled.
In a statement released on Friday, they said: "Due to the tragic sad passing of Dillon Quirke from Clonoulty Rossmore, the Tipperary CCC has decided to call off all games under its jurisdiction this weekend.
