Tiny puppies seized during Christmas Day raid by Scots charity as 24 dogs rescued

More than a dozen tiny puppies have been rescued during a Christmas Day raid in a major operation. Animal welfare teams seized a total of 24 dogs on December 25 with the pooches now receiving vital medical treatment.

Due to the ‘ongoing investigation’, charity bosses have not released the location of where the animals were found. They have confirmed that the animals are now safe and recovering at one of their rescue centres.

Pictures released by the SSPCA show a bundle of tiny puppies in a carrier - with one sporting a bloody-looking ear. Another three babies are pictured snoozing in an adorable fluffy pile.

A statement from the SSPCA said: “On Christmas day our teams successfully seized 24 dogs including 18 puppies.

“These animals are thankfully now safe at one of our centres and receiving the medical attention they need.

“We will always put Scotland’s animals first, and are proud to be there for them 365 days a year. We couldn’t do this without our amazing supporters.

“This is an ongoing investigation so we are unable to share any more information at this time.”
