Tiny dog's Easter surprise as fluffy little chick suddenly nips her tongue

When it comes to adorable friendships, Loulou the dachshund's bond with a group of tiny Easter ducklings is definitely an unlikely one.

But the bright yellow balls of fluff gave the pup a cheeky surprise when it pecked her tongue - and the look on her face is priceless.

Luckily Loulou is very gentle and didn't seem too bothered, going straight back to playing with her tiny mates.

Her doting owner Eveline Smit, from the Netherlands, shared a cute series of photos of the unlikely gang, including one of the chicks climbing all over the beautiful canine.

She said: "Loulou has a very calm and gentle character. She has always been used to different animals such as rabbits, ducks, chickens, sugar gliders, fish, etc.

"She has never hurt an animal, hunted or intended to."

Mum-of-two Eveline grew up with animals and dreamed of being a vet before she trained in fashion.

She has two dogs, Loulou and Coco, and keeps the chickens and ducks as pets, bringing the hatchlings into the house when they are young.

Eveline often takes photos of her furry friends and sets up photo shoots for her social media channel, The Adventures of Loulou, Coco & Friends.

She says two-year-old Coco, who is Loulou's litter, enjoys getting involved and cuddling up with her mum.

Eveline added: "Coco is sweet, gentle, shy and playful. She has many of Loulou's characteristics, including gentle behaviour towards small animals.

"Loulou is obsessed with food. She can’t be left alone with food anywhere because she will eat everything.

"She won't stop eating. Coco is picky with food."

Another dog who developed an unlikely friendship with another animal is Meadow who is utterly obsessed with his rescue kitten, Twig.

The pair are inseparable and have even convinced people they're actually an old married couple reincarnated.

Owner, LeeAnn Babirad, from New York, US, said: "So, I took Meadow to a private farm to pick out her own kitty. These two approached other and the rest is history. They've been best friends ever since."
