Tina Turner 's final photo before her death saw her relive some of the "proudest moments" of her life.
The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll died "peacefully" on Wednesday at the age of 83 following a long illness.
The legendary performer, real name Anna Mae Bullock, was at her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, at the time of her death.
In her final photo, she can be see sharing her excitement over the documentary which delved into her life.
Tina stood in front of a huge TV screen as she watched on in comfy clothes and held two hands up.
Posting the pic back in March 2021, she wrote: "I am so excited to share this movie with you – seeing the concert scenes made me relive some of the proudest moments of my life.
"I simply had to sing along and dance around my living room."
The What's Love Got to Do With It hitmaker was wearing a black sweatshirt and jogging bottoms.
Tina was last seen in public in November 2019 as she attended the Broadway premier of the musical of her life, Tina.
Photos of the event show Tina being supported by husband Erwim Bach and Oprah Winfrey whilst walking the red carpet.
She also made a pre-recorded appearance when she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in October 2021.
The footage – seemingly filmed sometime around the awards ceremony – showed Tina beaming as she expressed pride over having received such recognition in her eighties.
"If they're still giving me awards at 81, I must have done something right" Tina said. "I'm very happy to have this and to achieved this".
Tina had previously been inducted as a duo with her then-husband Ike Turner in 1991.
Tributes have been flooding in for the icon, with US presidents current and former paying their respects.
Biden has praised Tina's "remarkable strength" as he reflected on the legacy she leaves behind.
He said in a statement: "In addition to being a once-in-a-generation talent that changed American music forever, Tina’s personal strength was remarkable.
"Overcoming adversity, and even abuse, she built a career for the ages and a life and legacy that were entirely hers.
"Jill and I send our love and prayers to her husband Erwin, the rest of the Turner family, and fans around the world who are mourning today for the woman they agree was "simply the best"."
Former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama shared a joint statement on social media.
"Tina Turner was raw. She was powerful. She was unstoppable. And she was unapologetically herself—speaking and singing her truth through joy and pain; triumph and tragedy.
"Today we join fans around the world in honoring the Queen of Rock and Roll, and a star whose light will never fade."
Meanwhile Rolling Stone's Mick Jagger took to social media to mourn the loss of his "wonderful friend" and pay homage to the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll.
Tina and Mick enjoyed a close friendship over the years, with Tina revealing in 2017 how she taught the Satisfaction singer how to dance and taking credit for some of his trademark moves.
He told his followers: "I’m so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer.
"She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me so much when I was young and I will never forget her."
