Tina Turner was last pictured at her final public appearance back in 2019, when she attended a red carpet with her husband and Oprah Winfrey.
The Queen of Rock 'n' Roll died "peacefully" at her home in Switzerland yesterday aged 83, following a long illness.
The What's Love Got to Do With It hitmaker was last seen in public in November 2019 as she attended the Broadway premier of the musical of her life, Tina.
Photos of the event show Tina being supported by husband Erwim Bach and Oprah whilst walking the red carpet.
Other snaps from the musical's New York premiere at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre however show Tina stood unassisted at a microphone stand on stage.
Tina is said to have formally retired some years ago – saying her 'farewell' to fans in a documentary – and kept out of the spotlight in the final years of her life.
She made a pre-recorded appearance when she was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist in October 2021.
The footage – seemingly filmed sometime around the awards ceremony – showed Tina beaming as she expressed pride over having received such recognition in her eighties.

"If they're still giving me awards at 81, I must have done something right" Tina said. "I'm very happy to have this and to achieved this".
Tina had previously been inducted as a duo with her then-husband Ike Turner in 1991.
She also shared a photo from the filming of the speech on Instagram to mark the occasion.
She commented: "As you can surely tell from my beaming smile: I am thrilled to now be officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. What an honour.
"I am so grateful to so many beloved people who believed in me and stood by me on my journey here – especially you, my fans. Keep on rocking."
Just months earlier, Tina shared a photo of herself stood in front of her TV in March that year, which featured in a post marking the upcoming release of her documentary Tina.
She said that concert scenes in the film made her relive some of her "proudest moments," with her adding: "I simply had to sing along and dance around my living room".
Just weeks before her death, Tina revealed how she would like to be remembered.
She told The Guardian: "As the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. As a woman who showed other women that it is OK to strive for success on their own terms."
Tina's last interview took place with British Vogue, where she discussed her secret to her "life well-lived."
"What does well-lived mean?," she pondered during the chat. "My life has been full, but with lots of sad times that I now forgive and strive to forget."
She added: "Maybe that’s the answer: to keep moving forward, to let go and aim to fill your life with love. That is where I am now, and I am grateful."
