Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien was beaming with pride today as she announced her daughter had landed a TV role.
The actress, who plays Sarah Platt in the ITV soap, revealed that her 13-year-old daughter Scarlett will follow in her mother's footsteps as she has a role on BBC One's Waterloo Road.
Tina herself actually starred in the series from 2010-2011, playing the role of pupil, Bex Fisher.
And the proud mum couldn't contain her excitement as she shared the news on Instagram.
She posted a picture of a smiling Scarlett and the rest of the cast in the filming studio, as reports the Mirror.
Tina captioned the post: "Very excited to finally be able to announce that my gorgeous, lovely, talented Scarlett Thomas will be in the new series of Waterloo Road #proudmum."
The actress' tribute went down a storm with her Corrie colleagues with many congratulating Scarlett on her stunning achievement.
Helen Flanagan, who used to play Rosie Webster on the cobbles, replied with a love emoji.
Catherine Tyldesley, who played Rovers barmaid Eva Price, gushed: "That girl has always been the brightest of stars."
While Lucy Fallon, who starred as Tina's on-screen daughter Bethany on the soap posted a heart emoji.
Scarlett will soon be a big sister as Ryan and former Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh, 30, have just announced they're expecting a little girl in the spring.
The couple already have a son, Roman, two.
"Our baby girl is due in late spring – we can't wait," Lucy told Hello! magazine.
An insider added : "Ryan has a son and a daughter so he isn’t worried about the sex. But Lucy wants a girl to complete family after enjoying being a stepmother to Scarlett."
