Timothée Chalamet 'spends $11million on new home previously owned by model Kate Upton'

Timothée Chalamet has reportedly been splashing the cash on a new Beverly Hills home.

The 26-year-old Dune star is thought to have spent a whopping $11million on a four bedroom property which was previously owned by supermodel Kate Upton and her baseball star husband Justin Verlander.

The couple listed the property earlier this year for $11.7million. While the final sale price is slightly less than what they asked, it's still more than double the $5.3million they paid just six years ago.

Timothée rose to prominence after being nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in Call Me by Your Name and has since become a huge movie star.

After his new purchase, the actor will split his time between Los Angeles and his native New York City, according to Dirt.

The Mirror has approached Timothée's representatives for comment.

The large property is located in Beverly Hills and has had a long list of previous celebrity owners, including tennis star Pete Sampras and Hollywood producer Jon Peters.

It features big gates, high walls and a long driveway to provide extra security.

The home has various living spaces, including a living room complete with a huge fireplace, a dining room and a kitchen which features its own breakfast area.

Outside the house is a large pool which adjoins a brick terrace. The grounds also feature rose gardens, a sprawling lawn and a tennis court.

Timothée's career is going from strength to strength and the actor is about to star as a cannibal in Luca Guadagnino’s Bones And All.

Speaking at the London Film Festival, he said: "It’s funny because I’m shooting Dune [Part Two] right now in Budapest and without giving too much away there’s a good amount of blood in that too.

"So Denis [Villeneuve, director] can write a thank you to Luca because he kind of got me prepped."

The actor is also set to play a young Willy Wonka in the upcoming origin-story of the eccentric chocolatier in Wonka.
