An official from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation provided a detailed timeline of the shooting incident that occurred at Apalachee High School on Wednesday. According to the director, Chris Hosey, the sheriff’s office received reports of an active shooter at the school around 10:20 am.
Law enforcement swiftly responded to the situation, arriving at the scene within minutes of receiving the distress calls. Additionally, two school resource officers who were assigned to Apalachee High School were present at the time of the incident.
The resource officers acted promptly and encountered the subject within minutes of being alerted to the situation. Upon encountering the individual, the subject promptly surrendered to the officers and was taken into custody without further incident.
