TWO locations in Scotland have featured on Time Out’s top 15 places to visit in the UK for 2025.
The travel guide has named Orkney and Glasgow on its list with the former coming in fourth place while the latter was in 15th.
Praise was heaped on both areas, with Orkney’s “unique identity” highlighted in the guide as well as the Neolithic archaeology and “a food and drink scene punching well above its weight”.
Time Out also pointed to the International Island Games, which will be held from July 12 to 18.
Glasgow meanwhile was praised for its “major sporting events, world-class concerts, great arts and culture venues and an up-and-coming food and drink scene”.
As well as this, Time Out also noted that “no visit would be complete without a stroll through one of the city’s many beautiful parks”.
