The contents of a Millennium time capsule buried at Newton Primary School are set to go on show in Dunblane.
The capsule was concealed in the grounds to mark the year 2000 and is being opened this year to celebrate the school’s 25th anniversary.
Class teachers - and former pupils - Alex Guthrie and Laura Moore - are hoping the capsule will capture the imagination and take everyone on a trip down memory lane.
Alex said: “In an ideal world, we would love to be able to open our doors to share the contents of the time capsule and allow the opportunity to reminisce and see how the school has changed over the years
“Unfortunately, due to current and continuing Covid restrictions, this cannot happen at this moment in time.
“However, we still feel it is important that past pupils and staff have the opportunity to view the contents of the capsule.
“We have therefore made contact with the Dunblane Museum who have kindly offered us a space to create a small exhibition for the public to access when they reopen on April 1.”

Within the time capsule the teachers found a number of individual drawings from pupils at the time, detailing their wishes and predictions for the future.
Alex said: “Ideally, we would love for ex pupils and staff (at any time) to send us a short video clip, explaining who you are, when you were a pupil/staff member and where you are now/what you do for a living or any notable achievements you have had. You could also/alternatively share a favourite memory of being at Newton Primary School if you wish.
“Although video footage is preferred, alternatively people can send in some text instead and perhaps a photograph or two.”
The teachers aims to pull everything together into a short film to share with the school community, past and present.
