Tim Tszyu's world title plans remain on track following successful hand surgery.
Australia's undefeated super-welterweight required a clean-out on both hands after aggravating niggling injuries during his victory over American Terrell Gausha in Minnesota in March.
Tszyu will return to the US next week after watching younger brother Nikita's second professional fight on Wednesday night in Newcastle.
He plans to be ringside for Jermell Charlo's rematch with Brian Castano for the undisputed super-welterweight championship in California on Sunday week.
As the mandatory No.1-ranked WBO challenger, Tszyu hopes to fight the winner for all four world title belts.
With that mega-fight not likely until around September, Tszyu took the opportunity to repair his hands after fighting sore for more than a year.
His manager Glenn Jennings said the Sydney slugger was recovering well from the corrective surgery and in no hurry to start sparring again until his knuckles were fully healed.
"No rush. We have time on our side," Jennings told AAP on Friday.
"But he should be okay to punch in a month.
"Plenty to do to keep fit whilst they heal."
Tszyu's surgery won't stop him from being in Nikita's corner in Newcastle when the 27-year-old takes on fellow Australian Mason Smith (5-0, 2KO) on the undercard to Paul Gallen's heavyweight showdown with Kris Terzievski.
