Tim Tszyu all in for big Vegas prize pot

His game face already on, Tim Tszyu is aptly pledging an "all-in" approach to his undisputed world title fight with Jermell Charlo in Las Vegas.

Friday marks 100 days until Tszyu's date with destiny as he duels Charlo for the IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO super-welterweight titles at the MGM Grand.

In an incredible omen, the unified blockbuster will take place 28 years to the day that Tszyu's father Kostya conquered Puerto Rican Jake Rodriguez to claim the IBF world super-lightweight strap at the very same iconic venue.

"I believe in faith but things happen for a reason and it can't just be a coincidence so I'm going to make the best of it," Tszyu said.

"Some things are rooted in the stars."

Ever professional, the 27-year-old isn't leaving anything to fate as he bids to become the first Australian to capture four belts in his maiden world title bout.

"I'm not going to sit on my ass and do nothing for the next hundred days. I'm going to be grinding, and grinding hard and putting it all on the line," Tszyu said.

It's only fitting then the Sydney slugger is vowing to up the ante before heading to the world's boxing and poker mecca in pursuit of his own pugilistic prize pot.

"Just go all in," Tszyu said. "Just go hard. It's quite simple.

"(I'm) getting away from home, going into the jungle and just preparing for battle, preparing for war. Being with like-minded individuals.

"I'm going all in, man. No plan B, just all in. This is what it takes."

Bracing for a brutal physical battle with Charlo, Tszyu's wily uncle-trainer Igor Goloubev has enlisted some 18 heavy-hitting sparring partners to help chisel the challenger into peak shape.

Rising American welterweight Quincey Williams, former light-heavyweight world title contender Steve Geffrard and ex-US Olympic light-middleweight Charles Conwell are among the shrewdly selected training posse that Tszyu will bank on during his intense preparation.

"All these guys are heavily credentialed. They're all big boys," Tszyu's manager Glen Jennings said.

"Igor doesn't want Tim in there with any lightweights. We want big fellas to push Tim around and make Tim's life a misery and Tim's got to perform on these guys.

"We're not going to give him an easy road, nor would Tim want an easy road.

"All of these boys have very similar styles and appearance to Charlo and that's important to make sure Tim gets the work on that level."

Tszyu will commence camp in Los Angeles on November 28 before heading to Vegas the week before Christmas.

"It will be about nine weeks all up and that will give Tim every opportunity to make sure he's absolutely ready and acclimatised," Jennings said.

"It's all about shocking the world."
